The thickness of the bracket seems inadequate for the suggested species?

I was more accustomed to chunkier examples but had a look in Nuñez & Ryvarden's 'East Asian Polypores' and for Fomitopsis feei (an old name for one species in that complex) they say "up to 15 x 10 x 1 cm". Then a look in the herbarium revealed a few relatively thinnish specimens of these pinkish polypores.
