User's notes

Small colony. Only two in flower and they looked like they were finishing. The petals were small, but I could not check the calli as the flowers were closing, but feel confident they were not C. valida, which I have seen many times before.

If you think this is a different species to C. valida, I will have to leave it to someone else. I am not very familiar with the other species.

Hi Peter, I think on current knowledge there is only C valida locally. (There is a C aff valida which is chemically different but it is visually identical). I'm not sure that the C aff valida in the ACT orchid book is still present or still recognised.

Not quite sure how you would tell valida and aff valida (sensu ACT orchid book) apart with any confidence, particularly when the flower is closing.
