Does "fuscous crest" imply a darker coloured crest than the other Paralaea sp?

I don't think so. Fuscous means grey or darker, I think and 'Crest-moth' is a literally a generic term for crested moths including Paralaea genus.

White abdomen; Dark band along end of hindwing, rest white with speckles esp along costa; Female - filament antennae, no projections; End wing scalloping obvious, not as pronounced as P. porphyrinaria, more so than P. sarcodes; Uniform dark grey upper, veins same colour, no striations; Crest - uniform dark grey colour.
