Hi Adam, They are interesting and intelligent animals. A GPS tracked Rosenberg's Goanna came across from near Mt Clear Campground in the ACT to the Bumbalong area this last summer and returned after a few weeks, by nearly the same route. Perhaps it was seeking Nasutitermes termite mounds, which are not available where it spends most of the year.

Hi Don, We're happy that we've seen three since the Clear Range fire came through our area on the 1st of Feb. We certainly have termite mounds in the area and I've seen evidence of digging in them from time to time. We're leaving all the trees that fell after the fire on the ground to provide habitat, hopefully we'll see a few more reptiles around the place next year.
