Significant sighting

MichaelMulvaney noted:

11 Jan 2020

Would appreciate postings of any other juveniles within the next two weeks - Peak fledgling time at known nests is now.

User's notes

Possibly three males (two juvenile) and two females. Patch of old hollow-bearing Eucalypts (E.bridgesiana?).

Looks like two newly fledged male chicks and a male and female parent

Yes, I think there was a total of two adults and three fledglings.

Yes two is the usual number but we have recorded from 1-3 chicks per nest - while there is a photo of 4 fledglings in the Botanic Gardens

Just read about 'water trees' and I think this was one. The male looked like he was drinking. There are good nest hollows nearby.

Thanks Wandiyali - it will be an area we watch during next years nesting season
