User's notes

As I was heading out I heard some gang gang calls and as I looked up a male, a female and 2 young males alighted on the power lines. They then flew to a tree in our garden and were joined by another female. After awhile the male had a drink at the bird bath and then flew off. I'm not sure when the second female flew off. The youngsters and the female stayed in the tree moving around for about 10 minutes before flying off to the south west with a stop on the other power lines. I assume the 2 males were young as they had very sparse red on their heads but their beaks were grey rather than white as we have observed in nestlings in the hollows. Unfortunately the expert photographers were out monitoring hollows so I only had my phone but the young ones were quite happy for me to move very close to them. We often have gang gangs visit our garden and they are rarely fussed if we or the dog are in the yard.
