The 2 chicks were fed and parked for the night - quite a vulnerable site with currawongs, owls, frogmouths and possums to contend with, having survived the Koels.

At 5am, first light, the chick was still there, alone but, as dawn chorus began at 5.15, we heard an adult reclaim it and, they departed with loud chirps from both.
