User's notes
There appeared to be a small piece of twig which had been accidentally brought inside after I had been outside in the strong winds. However it was attached at one end. I managed to get it onto a piece of paper and it froze, until in the dark, when it took off at great speed. I released it outside again.

We cannot identify most caterpillars unless you rear them to the adult moth.
