Author's notes

Female by herself for about 5 minutes, calling before the male arrived. They both flew to the pine trees and fed a little. Female was right next to a nesting box but showed no interest. As there aren't many cones left on the trees I put some seed out and the male flew in to eat. Both stayed about 15 minutes before flying off together.
