While the female was sitting on the grapevine the male was in the nearby tree. The female flew to the tree and the male came down to the grapevine at our door. They flew away together southwards. The male's head is very bright more orange than others . Does this mean he's younger? He is a regular visitor to our garden. We also have a male visit occasionally whose head is still motley and not yet fully red. We assume he is one of this year's successful breeding.
