Possibly a member of the Omoedus genus, but they seem to be a coastal or rainforest genus so not sure about this one.

I'd support ♀ Omoedus (marginatus) ID here. Does not say or show map where found or stipulate type of habitat?

I had thought it was a good match to the picture in the Whyte and Anderson book, but they say it's found in rainforest in northern Qld, so I thought it seemed unlikely! I couldn't find much more online.
It was in a more open area surrounded by woodland on an exposed west-facing slope. There are patches of bare stony soil with low shrubs, but it is often a bit damp (seepage?).

Can you say where Cath..roughly? Salticids et al are easily dispersed via human transit and transport....seeing more than one would dent that theory.....

Hi Stuart. I'd be happy to show you the site. It's not far from where we met recently - across the road.

Gotcha Cath...no need to meet as I understand the sensitivity of that site. I'd suggest the Omoedus sp. encountered is vagrant..
