User's notes

To see if there were several types of ants in the garden, we put a drop of honey and a fragment of chicken on the brick paving, and photo'd the ants that turned up. This is one type.

Nice experiment. This is probably the same species as the other pheidole you photographed - this type of ant has small workers and much larger “majors” who do the defence and heavy lifting. Cheers, Jon
