User's notes

Private property. No public access without permission. Bird was found dead (fresh) on the ground near a gate. We think it must have hit a post or tree while chasing prey as there was blood around the nostrils/beak and no other sign of injury. Talons had blood on them from a previous kill. Thanks to Tony Robinson (Gundharwar, Michelago) for the sighting.

Going after the honeyeaters perhaps :(
Such a beautiful bird. Perhaps MichaelM might be able to use it for the research project (https://canberra.naturemapr.org/Community/Projects/Announcement/175) or if not the CSIRO might like it for their collection.

I think it's already been donated to science but I will check with Tony. We usually donate any we find. It is very sad for such a beautiful bird.
