A good find Andy. I've never seen this one, so will leave it for our botanists to confirm. ALA lists 20+ species of Paspalidium: https://bie.ala.org.au/species/http://id.biodiversity.org.au/node/apni/7771555#classification
I am not sure why I suggested "constrictum" as it is not usually found in the Southern Tablelands according to Plantnet, a second suggestion is that it may be "distans".
P. distans is more likely, ALA has it occurring locally. https://bie.ala.org.au/species/http://id.biodiversity.org.au/node/apni/2903157 Maybe we should just go with "Paspalidium sp." ?
I put a sample in to the Australian National Herbarium (mind you, from a different location to the east of Nerriga, a power line circuit ) and the result came back as Entolasia stricta, (syn Panicum strictum) Wiry Panic. It was growing just off the edge of the road in a similar site to the Mongarlowe plants
Thanks for the follow up Andy. The new suggestion is a new genus, from a different specimen and a different location. In the interests of science we'll have to reject this one.
