User's notes

Private property. No public access without permission. These Poa grasses seem slightly different to our Poa sieberiana grasses located elsewhere on our property. I am not sure if this is a different Poa species or just a locational difference.

I'm suggesting Poa sieberiana for now, but you would need a botanist to examine a sample to be confident of a different species or subspecies. ALA lists 3 subspecies:

Thanks. Once I have my head around all the grasses we have, I will make a collection list. Now that I am getting the hang of it, I see variations that I didn't see before! Would the herbarium be interested in some of our grasses? Dropping specimens off might be easier as I can harvest at the optimum time next season.

The wallaby grasses are quite difficult from photos. The ANBG provides a free ID service, if you want to do that. They like specimens pressed and dried.

Great. Will do. We now have two presses and we can make some more.
