The black bit suggests an old and well-worn Phellinus and the white bit may be an immature polypore. Some start out as an undifferentiated hemispherical growth, which then extends outward, becomes more hoof-like to shelf-like and differentiates to the spore-producing pored-layer on the underside and the rest as sterile supporting tissue.
