I want to collect case-moth head and thorax shots
to see how they may help with species ID.
Any chance of a photo of the caterpillar head and thorax
when it pops them out to feed or walk?
Or do you think may have died, pupated, or emerged long ago.
Was it not there before? Has it since moved from its original spot?

It would be a long walk back to the same spot, and extremely difficult to find the same tree, so I can't help in this instance.
