We have yet to get a reliable record of Squirrel Glider within the Canberra region. It is hard to be certain about the ID between the two in a photo, but squirrel gliders are larger, have a more brushy and longer tail with a dark tip and have angular features to the face. Sugars are smaller, may have a white tip to the tail and have blunt round face features (which is the main reason why I think this is a photo of a sugar glider).
