I identified a Balaana on here a while back based on Lambkin, Yeates & Greathead, 2003 (http://www.publish.csiro.au/is/IS03020). Christine Lambkin confirmed this ID. I'm fairly sure most of the brown (non-metallic) bombyliids with this wing colouration around Canberra are Balaana, based on locality data, but other moderators should have a look at this paper just to be sure.
