Only one other record for this species in the Brindabellas, and only a few others near lake George and east of Comma within the Canberra Nature Map region. It is common on the south coast

Is that name a newly created name or just a suggested name? I have added Melaleuca subulata as a synonym to the already existing name Callistemon subulatus.

ACT Herbarium calls all Callistemon, Melaleuca now. NSW PLANTNET still has them as Callistemon. Will collect on weekend for herbarium.

Michael M and I discussed this taxonomy and agreed to use the Approved Name rather than ACT usage because a lor more than half of the area covered by CNM is in NSW.
