User's notes

Both were working hard to carry materials to build their mud nest every couple of minutes. The female Magpie-lark also spent time in the nest, creating a suitable shape by moving pieces at the edge of the nest with her beak. She also placed her chest low and both feet up at the edge and tapped the mud very fast to put the bits in place firmly. Photos 1 & 3 show the position when she was tapping with her feet.
