Four Carpenter bees still out there on the same Crowea bush at the top of the Gardens.

Note the frayed ends to the wings suggesting the bee has been active for a while. It still needs to get through winter and nest next spring

My images show that the wings of at least one of the other bees was in much better condition, so hopefully they will keep the species ticking over.
