Quite small, maybe 5-7cm length.

Nice one Roy. These don't seem to be particularly common, and they don't appear until March - they're an autumn specialist. I found one on Sat 4th at Smiths Rd bridge. Last year my first wasn't until 6 March, so timing is spot on.
