First seen on web strung between two trees (image 5). When checked next morning (6 March), web had gone but spider was found on grass stalk. Had impressive lobes on abdomen. Cyclosa trilobata?

I'll go with your ID, Cath; certainly a Cyclosa and C. trilobata seems a good fit.
