Leaflets larger than Gleditsia triacanthos, with two thorns at base of each leaf stem, about 2 metres tall...... near the Molonglo River upstream of Coppin’s Crossing.

It probably is Gleditsia. The Weeds database states it has simple or branched spines ro 18 cm long. Also the leaflets can be up to 38 mm long. I think the two paired spines along the stem are distinctive of Robinia
