Some creature or other had bundled the leaves together in a silky cocoon.

My best guess if it is a local species. The indented margin at the gland is fairly diagnostic. However, the leaf tips of falciformis are usually blunt. Acacia penninervis has the indented msrgin, but has straight leaves. None of the other common wattles in the ACT has this feature.

I think it must be, although the foliage seems slightly less blue and less curved than some of the other pictures on here.

I never worry too much about photo colours, particularly with blue and purple tinges, which are often an artefact created by the phone or camera.
