My apologies if I enter separate sightings for the same species - if they appear different to me I am assuming they are different species, but appreciate that some are dimorphic.

Hi Christine - no problem with separate sightings of the same species. The problem is usually the other way around. Can you tell me if these two photos are of different individuals. Different angles and lighting can be very deceptive when looking at tiny details, but I occurs to me that this might represent two different individuals. And the differences between Southern and Stout Vicetail can be very tricky to sort out. It looks to me like the first photo is a Southern Vicetail, the second is, for me, equivocal.

Harvey, you are correct in that these two photos were taken nearly half an hour apart, within metres of each other, but potentially different individuals (even species!) I have looked at both photos again, and cannot determine a difference, but obviously you, as the expert, know what you are looking for, so I will remove the second photo and create another sighting with it. Thanks so much for being so thorough :)
