(Slight follow up to sighting 3387168) - At this location there were 11 plants (that I could see flowering) growing in grass/weeds along the roadside verge over about 100 metres. These plants were about 50m up the hill from the plant in sighting 3387168 (maybe T. alpina?) - more notes on that page. Hopefully these images of a few of the different variations growing together will add something to the sighting 3387168 images - Cheers! Glen
Thanks Glen. To me image 1 looks like T. alpina, but image 4 looks different, more like one of the T. pauciflora group. Sorry this is not very helpful, but the Thelymitra can be difficult when you can't see the actual plant yourself.
Hi Tony - no that's very helpful! Totally get how hard it must be to make decisions based on a couple of photos. If there's something extra that i should be photographing on Thelymitra that might help just let me know ... i usually just snap these while site scouting for filming but can get in much closer on the actual flower parts if that helps... just need to carry a little more gear (which is usually back in the car anyway!) Cheers Glen
