On the east side of the Murrumbidgee River, north of Pine Island.

This female is laying eggs. The ovipositor valves are used to dig a vertical tunnel and the intersegmental membranes in the abdomen lengthen so the abdomen can expand to double its normal length. The eggs are deposited in a pod which is plugged with froth and a capping of dirt.
