Size - length 17mm......... on the western side of the Murrumbidgee River, north of Tharwa.

While I agree the species is definitely uncertain ( there are some 200 spp. in the genus), I think this could be P. productella, see link: http://bie.ala.org.au/species/urn:lsid:biodiversity.org.au:afd.taxon:16fc4652-8c3b-45df-adc5-fd26d6761a2e#gallery. However, the necessary longitudinal dark streaks in the forewings are very indistinct at best..
