The fruit bodies were densely packed on a well-weathered fence post. The inset in the second photo shows several spores, still lined up within an ascus. All the observed spores were 4-celled. The spores become coloured fairly early in their development, each spore was evenly throughout and sizes were 14-18 x 4-5 microns.
