Yellow box is the predominant tree species in the woodland. It is a very variable eucalypt.

This tree is 200-300 years old. Had a very large branch cut off 10-20 years ago (overhanging my office). Has had 2 very large branch falls since, one definitely (and possibly both) due to cockatoo nesting hollows. The tree is in good health currently with 1 almost permanent Currajong nest!
