Sorbus domestica was a gift from the people of Scotland to the people of Canberra in the 1920s and as far as I can tell was first planted behind the Burns Club in Forrest. It is a gift that keeps giving. Bagpipers were present at the official planting so it should of been obvious that it wasn't going to end well.
