On closer inspection I am not sure I can be sure this is D. disputata having now compared it to both the Moths of Victoria and Atlas of Living Australia images for this species (7 May 2017). There are five images for this species captioned D. disputata on the discs supporting Moths of Victoria covering 4 recognised 'populations': Big Desert, Grampians, Heathcote (western Vic) and Corryong. All examples show quite consistent markings although the overall colouring of the specimens varies from reddish brown to dark grey. The Corryong (high country) image has consistent markings to the rest, although its has an overall reddish brown colouration. The overall forewing pattern in our specimen is undoubtedly similar to all five images, however to my eye the detail is not consistent enough on close inspection for me to be confident, given I'm only going on sight. If our specimen is indeed Dichromodes genus, I suggest it may be a different species. I stand to be corrected of course! (11 June 2017)

Hi Ryu, thanks for your photo. I have downloaded the original, cropped it and added it back to aid in identification.

Not D disputata. There is also a good series of images for this species H. coryphoea on the ALA by D. Hobern, see http://bie.ala.org.au/species/urn:lsid:biodiversity.org.au:afd.taxon:de2a3476-ac79-4147-b4b8-f13f8f69c73a#gallery (12 June 2017)
