User's notes

In water sample squeezed from vegetation at edge of pond. Cell length was 272 µm and maximum width was 24 µm. Cells in the background appear to be yeasts, some of which can be seen to be reproducing by budding.

Stephen Skinner of the NSW Herbarium said "Euglena species; you can put names on these by comparing the shape of the starch granules."
