User's notes

Individual algal cells entangled amongst filamentous algae. Cells were 18 µm wide and 94 µm long.

Stephen Skinner of the nSW Herbarium said "cell is a Penium species; measurements and sculpturing, and sutures, needed to get species. The filament may be Microspora species...not well documented in Australia."
