An apparent garden escapee, brightly coloured and out of place, near stormwater drain between Conder and Banks.

Not a daisy. It is in the family Aizoaceae, in the subfamily the South Africans call Mesembryanthaceae. Not a weed mentioned in PlantNet or Vicflora.

Not an ice plant - they are in the Mesembryanthemum genus (see Weeds of the South-East by Richardson et al). This plant in the photo has recently been popular at plant nurseries. They are being sold as noon flowers. The nursery labels are confused as they sometimes say Lampranthus and sometimes Mesembryanthemum......

It looks like they are the same, but with Mesembryanthemum as the older name. So I have added Mesembryanthemum sp. as a synonym.
