The angle of these photos do not help, but the breastband does appear to be downcurved. The bird also appears that it could be dark enough, although a description of lighting and perhaps if you used any exposure compensation would help. Do you have a front-on shot (or any others) that you could add?

They are migrating back through peri-urban Canberra at the moment, and I have had a Satin Flycatcher on Wanniassa Hills for 2 weeks (no leadens there as of yet), so it is certainly plausible although the odds of encountering one are much lower

Unfortunately I don't have a front-on shot - made the identification on the call. The lighting condition for the shots was not ideal - I did use exposure compensation. Maybe we should give this one away.
