Thanks John, you can notice on your second photo that a solar powered transmitter is attached to this male Little Eagle as part of a research project investigating foraging behaviour, particularly during the breeding season. Of interest is that outside of the breeding season this bird flew to Wagga and back and all up this trip only took about a week. Do you have a higher resolution versions of these images as if you are ok with this we would like to use the photographs in the research report (with acknowledgement)
Thanks Michael. That's most interesting. It was difficult to photograph as it was high up, too far for a clear shot. This is the best I could do. Someone with better software may be able to enhance it. You can do as you like with the image.
