3 of 4 dead shinglebacks found and photographed by Dusty, all with similar injuries (ie cut off tail or cut in ventral part of tail). Does anyone have an idea?

Dusty found 4 dead shinglebacks within a few days all with similar injuries ie a cut-open or cut-off tails.
