Camelback Trail, Tidbinbilla There were 2 clumps using the mouth of a wombat burrow as shelter. I think this was one of them!

While I think Hypholoma is a plausible genus, the photo doesn't provide indisputable proof. While species of Hypholoma usually grow obviously from wood, that wood may be buried and so give the impression that the mushrooms are growing from soil.
