An Agapanthus species

Agapanthus is a significant weed in the Blue Mountains and on Lord Howe Island. It is sparingly naturalised across southern Australia, but assuming that this is not a planting, this is the first time that I know that it has been recorded as naturalised in the ACT region. One to keep an eye on Michael over the coming years.

Thanks Michael. This plant was quite close to the nearby houses and gardens. The townhouse most near this finding had Agapanthus growing out the front. So the movement was about 20 metres. However, I did see a plant in the hills of Rob Roy Reserve near Conder a few years ago which I pulled out.

I have been removing agapanthus from Isaacs Ridge for a few years but whenever I reported it I was told it did not grow from seed here so must have been garden waste. I will se if I have any photos with coordinates and will record the clump on Scrivener Hill.
