Calls grow to spare historic 'Blewitt's Block' from development in Canberra's Molonglo Valley

A great news article from Craig Allen for ABC News on a well known site in Canberra: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-11-07/calls-to-protect-historic-canberra-block-from-development/100597632

Some of the Canberra Nature Map sightings for this location are found under this map: https://canberra.naturemapr.org/locations/sightings/7286

We'd love if you could visit and add more sightings to the database for this location.

To those wanting to protect Blewitt's Block and record its biodiversity:
Please keep an eye on 'Caric' uploads.
We have uploaded some recent Blewitt's Block photos and also some from a few years ago (still have more to sort through and upload - may have to wait a couple of weeks for the next batch). The photos include 'historic' ones taken on what is now called Denman Prospect. As the spot where these sightings were made were within the original Blewitt's Block boundary the species should be noted.
I'm a bit confused as every photo I upload of what we used to call 'Blewitt's Patch' seems to be given a different locality name by CNM: Molonglo Valley, Piney Ridge, Stromlo, Denman Prospect. The reason for the latter is obvious but it would be good for 'Blewitt's Block' (or what's left of it) to be given a boundary and called 'Blewitt's Block'! I've therefore included the word 'Blewitt's' at the start of every comment to make it clear where the sighting was made.
