Hi Yumi, Nice photos. This genus of ant has a range of sizes within a species, called 'majors' and 'minors'. Sometimes there are intermediate sized ones too. This one, you won't be surprised, is a major, with very big head and jaws. I've seen a few of them around recently, so they must be taking advantage of the last warm weather! Cheers, Jon
