Wow, thanks Kim. This is such a nondescript looking beetle I didn't hold out much hope of getting it to species.

Yes it is a bit nondescript, but the combination of elongate, parallel-sided body, small size and gunmetal-grey colour with lighter grey lengthwise stripes on the elytra distinguish it. It can be quite common on flowers.
