I assumed it was the male below but it seems to have lost most of its bits. Whats happening?

I think the male is all there. Clearer in the second photo - the long rear legs are the most obvious feature, the head and thorax are all bunched together, and the abdomen is vertical, joining the female at mid-arch. The first two pairs of legs are roughly equal in size and held together. That's my take.

There were two entries for Leptogaster sp., so I renamed this sighting to the one that had most sightings. The duplicate has been removed.
