Author's notes

I heard the screeching and rushed to the other side of the house to see him almost straight through the blinds up high in the pine nut tree almost dead level with me! Quickly grabbed the big camera with the zoom and got a couple of OK images. The poor images were taken with the smartphone.

It took me a long time trying to work out what the first photo was through (bus window...? nope. car window? nope...). And then I read the comments :)
That last photo is great- I didn't know their beaks could open that wide!!
