Dr Christine Lambkin (Queensland Museum) says: 'Ectinorhynchus definitely, but what species???? No chance they collected them is there? Really would like specimens - especially in cop[ula].'

Dr Lambkin also explained that the male (left) is slightly smaller and has blue abdomen whereas female (right) has orange abdomen. Footnote for botanists, plant is Pimelea sp.

FYI - I've edited the sighting to put "Pimelea sp." in the Associated plant field, to be seen in the Sighting information box. This info is useful to help identify insects that prefer certain plants.
