Pandesma submurina (Erebinae)

The adult moth has brown forewings with indistinct darker markings, and buff coloured hindwings, each with a large dark spot near the tornus. It has a wing span of about 4 cms. The species has been found in :  New Guinea,  as well as in Australia in  Western Australia,  Northern Territory,  Queensland,  New South Wales, and  Victoria.
