Assuming this moth belongsed to the genus Gliphipteryx, I could not find a named native species which matches it. Similar to G, phosphora but does not seem to match that species.
A better match is Grapholita zapryna (Tortricidae), but again the match is not as precise as it perhaps should be.
Given this is a very sharp, clear image, it may be an undescribed species which would warrant collection if seen again.
An introduced species perhaps?
I think a new 'Grapholita (genus)' category is probably warranted.

Have added another photo taken the next morning in the same location - had 2 unsuccessful attempts to capture it. This photo is very clear, may be better for id.
